American Academy of Nursing Announces 2006 Media Award Recipients

The American Academy of Nursing announced its 2006 Media Award recipients. Dr. Gail Powell-Cope, Co-Chair of the 2006 Media Awards Committee, presented the awards during the Annual Awards Ceremony & Induction Banquet held November 11, 2006, at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Miami, Florida. There were four winners and four honorable mention awardees, one of them, an Internet-based reality show called “13 Weeks” that strove to illuminate the reality of what nurses do and the critical nature of their work.
